Design Your Course

UConn makes a variety of technological tools available to enhance your teaching, as well as staff resources to help show you how to use them.

Teaching Your Course

UConn’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) recognizes that teaching a course poses countless challenges, both expected and unexpected.

Documenting Your Teaching

Knowing how to demonstrate the effectiveness of teaching plays a critical role in the promotion, tenure, and reappointment of faculty. Beyond this, many faculty participate in the scholarship of teaching and learning as a form of research.

Assessment of Learning

To ensure students are learning what we intend them to learn, assessment plays a critical role in education. Assessment methods are used to measure selected learning outcomes to see whether or not the objectives have been met for the course.

Advising

UConn supports the University's mission to help every student grow intellectually and become a contributing member of the state, national, and world communities.

Developing Your Teaching Excellence

Internally and externally a variety of opportunities exist to further your understanding of teaching and learning best practices.
