Early Career
Later in August, CETL will announce an Early Career series designed to support pre-tenure faculty and CIRE faculty as they work on professional development. The series will consist of sessions that participants can select based on their individual career paths and interests. For instance, some sessions will focus on teaching principles or navigating well-being issues; other sessions will be geared towards the needs of research faculty or clinical and extension faculty.
All UConn faculty and graduate students are also granted free basic memberships in NCFDD, one of the nation's leading faculty and graduate student focused professional development organizations. To claim your membership, you can sign up at NCFDD's website (choose the "Become a Member" link in the upper righthand corner), and you will be directed to the many free resources, including webinars, a resource library of past trainings, and affiliate discussion boards. CETL will be incorporating NCFDD materials into our Early Career offerings in the coming year.
