Blackboard Education Assessment Corporation (Bb EAC) Visual Data
Introduction
Blackboard Education Assessment Corporation (Bb EAC) Visual Data is an assessment and reporting tool integrated with HuskyCT. The software can pull data from assessments administered in HuskyCT and provide statistical reporting information. Instructors can leverage data on student performance to advance student learning. Academic programs can use aggregated data for assessment reports.
Benefits of Aligning Assessments in HuskyCT to Program Learning Objectives
- Provides easy-to-read reports on student success by objective at the program level.
- Eliminates or reduces the need to utilize spreadsheets to gather data.
- Reduces the time necessary for data collection for annual assessment reports.
- Demonstrates strong connections between course assessments and program-level objectives and provides opportunities to increase these connections.
- Provides an opportunity to reflect on student success for each objective.
Aligning Assessments in HuskyCT Ultra
To collect data from Bb EAC, assignments in HuskyCT must be aligned to (or tagged with) program learning objectives. The linked guides below were created to walk you through how to align test questions, assignments with a rubric, and assignments without a rubric.

Juried Review Assessment Process
The Juried Review Process refers to an evaluative process in which faculty experts (or assessment specialists) systematically examine samples of student artifacts, such as rubric-scored assignments, to assess how well students are achieving the program learning objectives. Through juried review, institutions can gain a more nuanced understanding of the quality of student work across courses or programs, beyond numerical test scores. In this process, student artifacts are collected, then distributed to faculty reviewers for evaluation. The system will anonymize the artifacts, provide the artifacts to the evaluator, and ensure that each artifact is reviewed the desired number of times. These are sent directly to reviewers and then Bb EAC collects these results. For more information on the juried review process, contact Sally Chamberland – sally.chamberland@uconn.edu
