Degree Requirements

Interdisciplinary Theme

Each student is unique with different academic and personal goals. If your interests lead you to study broadly from a wide range of disciplines, a Generalized Interdisciplinary Plan of Study may be a good option for you.

Your Academic Counselor will guide you throughout your program to help you to create a generalized interdisciplinary plan of study that matches your academic and professional interests. Your plan will consist of 15 upper division credits, with courses selected from at least three different academic disciplines.

In addition you will complete an integrative Capstone Experience that allows you to integrate what you’ve learned throughout your BGS Program in an interdisciplinary way. You will also satisfy all UConn General Education Requirements and earn a minimum of 120 total credits to complete your degree.

Please speak with your Academic Counselor for more information.
